Safer Gambling

Problem gambling has no part to play at Admiral. We want playing our slot machines to be a safe, fun experience for all concerned. That’s why we’ve put together a range of support to help our players if they ever feel that it’s not.
As the largest operator of Adult Gaming Centres in the UK, we operate 280 venues. Our customers receive an unparalleled gaming experience through our range of gaming machines and content. We offer unmatched levels of customer service in a comfortable, safe and secure environment.

Ensuring that the safety of our customers goes further than that, extending to the measures we use to identify and manage the risks of problem gambling and the associated harms this can cause. We want all of our customers to SPIN SAFE and the overwhelming majority do – only spending what they can afford.

For a small number of customers their gambling can get out of control and negatively impact the lives of them and those closest to them.

If you believe that you have lost or are losing control of your gambling behaviour, you should STOP and consider whether it is negatively impacting on any aspect of your life, your relationships with others and their lives. Although problem gambling has no definition in law or regulation, the Gambling Commission says that it will for regulatory purposes assume that this group includes:

People who gamble more than they want to;

People who gamble beyond their means;

People who may not be able to make informed, balanced decisions about gambling due to mental impairment, alcohol or drugs.

The easiest way to perform an exercise reflecting on your gambling is to complete a self assessment via the tool on the Gamcare website. An alternative is also available on the NHS website.

We employ a number of gambling management tools to help our customers manage their time spent gambling. We work in partnership with Gamblewise, providing a free app (AppleGoogle Play) that can be used to plan and limit the time, and locations, that a customer can gamble. This can reduce the number of visits you make and help you spend less time when you do. It can also support you in avoiding certain dates, times or periods in which you don’t wish to gamble.

If none of the gambling management tools are effective for you and gambling is no longer a fun, affordable leisure activity, then you can enter into a self exclusion agreement with us. We operate the multi-operator self-exclusion scheme in our AGC premises and the IHL smart exclusion system for bingo. You can request self exclusion in one of two ways.

Speak to a member of staff in the venue from which you want to exclude; or

Complete the Self Exclusion Form and one of our trained staff will be in touch to obtain further details and complete the process for you.

These completed requests will be processed during normal office hours, if your self-exclusion request is urgent please visit a local Admiral.
