Safer Gambling Week 18-24 November 2024
Safer Gambling Week 2024
At Admiral are proud to support Safer Gambling Week 2024. A week dedicated to promoting safer gambling across the UK and Ireland. However, we aim to help our customers spin safe at our venues all of the time.
The Key Objectives of Safer Gambling Week are to raise awareness of:
• How to gamble more safely
• The tools that are available to help customers gamble responsibly
• Where to find more help and support for those that need it

If you believe that you have lost or are losing control of your gambling behaviour, you should STOP and consider whether it is negatively impacting on any aspect of your life, your relationships with others and their lives. Although problem gambling has no definition in law or regulation, the Gambling Commission says that it will for regulatory purposes assume that this group includes:
People who gamble more than they want to;
People who gamble beyond their means;
People who may not be able to make informed, balanced decisions about gambling due to mental impairment, alcohol or drugs.
The easiest way to perform an exercise reflecting on your gambling is to complete a self assessment via the tool on the Gamcare website. An alternative is also available on the NHS website.
Gamcare Self Assessment ToolWe employ a number of gambling management tools to help our customers manage their time spent gambling. We work in partnership with Gamblewise, providing a free app (Apple, Google Play) that can be used to plan and limit the time, and locations, that a customer can gamble. This can reduce the number of visits you make and help you spend less time when you do. It can also support you in avoiding certain dates, times or periods in which you don’t wish to gamble.
Gamblewise Free Apple AppIf none of the gambling management tools are effective for you and gambling is no longer a fun, affordable leisure activity, then you can enter into a self exclusion agreement with us. We operate the BACTA multi-operator self-exclusion scheme in our AGC premises and the IHL smart exclusion system for bingo. You can request self exclusion in one of two ways.
Speak to a member of staff in the venue from which you want to exclude; or
Complete the Self Exclusion Form and one of our trained staff will be in touch to obtain further details and complete the process for you.
